Mike Gaughan is installed as the
2008 TAR President
Sumner Association of REALTORS (SAR) Primary Member Mike Gaughan, RE/MAX choice Properties was installed as 2008 Tennessee Association of REALTORS (TAR) President in San Destin, Florida on September 21, 2007. Mike is the 2nd TAR President from the Sumner Association of REALTORS since SAR was incorporated in 1962.
Mike and his wife Lindy married 30 years have been tremendous assets to the real estate industry since the day they joined the REALTOR ranks.
Mike was SAR President in 1992 and Lindy was SAR President in 2000. They dedicated their lives to the real estate industry, the community and to the Tennessee Association of REALTORS while raising to beautiful children.
He has served on virtually every SAR and TAR committee and chaired most.
Civic minded, Mike is well known about the community for his willingness to always be a part of the communities many efforts to help others.
Mike, Lindy and Marilyn Bristol own 3 RE/MAX Choice Offices.
He is a lifetime member of the SAR Award of Excellence.
From 1987-1992 he served on the SAR Board of Directors, in 1990 he was elected Treasurer, in 1991 President Elect and in 1992 he was installed as SAR President.
For at least 10 years he has served as SAR Mediator and in 2006 he attended a 3 day Mediation Training in Chicago where he attained the title of National Mediator.
In 1989 Mike was selected by his local Association (SAR) as their REALTOR of the Year. REALTOR of the Year is the most prestigious honor that can be bestowed on a fellow REALTOR by his peers.
